Commitment in the Water

A few weeks ago, I witnessed as a few young people made a public profession of their faith in the redeeming work of Jesus by being baptized in water. Each one personally demonstrated his/her acceptance in and connection to the death & burial (being put under the water) of Jesus and his powerful resurrected life (being raise up out of the water). For each, this baptism was a commitment.
A commitment to follow their Lord in all he teaches and lovingly commands.
A commitment to seek him diligently and daily.
A commitment to walk out the rest of their pilgrimage on this earth for his glory — knowing that eternity lays just a breath away.
